About Jatinder Oberoi

Jatinder Oberoi is the guitarist and private teacher behind GuitarSir. He provides live 1-on-1 online guitar coaching for beginners, adults, kids, working professionals, returning players, and international students who want direct correction instead of crowded batch classes or recorded-only courses.

Jatinder began formal training in music theory, notation, harmony, and performance fundamentals in the 1990s, followed by advanced guitar studies across traditional and contemporary styles. He has performed on stages across India since 2002, worked with the band Asphyxia, collaborated with Bollywood artists, and taught private students since 2009. His performance background also includes an IIT Battle of Bands win.

Students can learn acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, Bollywood and Indian music, pop, rock, blues, jazz foundations, fingerstyle, rhythm guitar, lead guitar, improvisation, music theory, and performance preparation. Lessons are adapted to each student's level, musical taste, schedule, and available practice time.

Every class is conducted live on Zoom. Jatinder watches posture, finger placement, chord changes, rhythm, timing, strumming, muting, tone, and practice habits, then provides a structured weekly plan through GuitarSir's student portal. GuitarSir is based in Uttar Pradesh and teaches students across India and internationally.
